DONATE TO SAVE IN PERTH!

We’re proud to announce our Donate to Save program has launched at our Perth Kent Removals & Storage branch in Western Australia! Are you in the process of moving and want to donate unwanted clothes and items that are accepted by Save the Children? Simply ask our Perth team to deliver a Donate to Save box along with the rest of your moving boxes and packing materials, and feel great about making a positive difference in the world.

HOW IT WORKS

Donating is simple. If you are moving from Perth, fill the Donate to Save boxes provided by Kent, with any permitted goods that you may wish to donate and Kent Removals & Storage will do the rest on the day of your move. Alternatively, if you wish to donate directly to Save the Children stores, you can find your closest Save the Children store here. Donate to Save is available for Interstate, International and Storage bookings only at this time.

WHAT YOU CAN DONATE

Moving house or spring cleaning? Then you may be looking for a new home for your books, clothing, furniture, and homewares. These items may be gathering dust on shelves, no longer used, or you may want to make space in your wardrobe for some new threads or redecorate your home. There are many positive reasons to donate your pre-loved items to Donate to Save program, or any Save the Children Op Shops.

Remember, if it’s good enough quality to give to a friend, then it’s good enough to donate. Save the Children Op Shops are grateful for the following items to be donated to Kent’s Donate to Save box:

  •  Clothing, footwear, and accessories in good condition.
  •  Household items that are in good condition.
  •  Toys, books, CDs, DVDs, and Vinyl, that are in good condition.
  •  Small electrical items such as lamps and toasters in good, working condition.

Save the Children Op Shops are also grateful to accept the following items to be donated directly to you closet Save the Children Op Shop here.

  •  Cots, porta-cots & cradles in good condition.
  •  Bassinets, play pens, walkers in good condition.

Save the Children’s Margate and Brendale store in QLD, Bateau Bay and Wollongong stores in NSW, Dandenong store in VIC, Kidman Park, and Regency Plaza store in SA and, Cannington store and Malaga Warehouse in WA accept the following items:

  •  Furniture that is not broken or stained.
  •  White goods that are in working condition.
  •  Rugs that are not stained.
  •  Larger electrical items, such as TVs.

Save the Children Op Shops cannot accept:

  •  Wet, stained, damp or mouldy garments.
  •  Textiles or leather with large rips, tears, or holes.
  •  Magazines over 1 year old, Textbooks over 3 years old.
  •  Damaged frames or artworks.
  •  Chipped, stained, or cracked crockery.
  •  Material remnants less than 20 cm square.
  •  Odd socks.
  •  Worn underwear/swimwear.
  •  Building materials.
  •  Clothing with company logos or uniforms.
  •  Explosives, weapons, chemical or flammable products.
  •  Floor coverings including tiles, lino, carpet, or underlay.
  •  Gas, oil, or kerosene heaters.
  •  Mattresses.
  •  Baby/toddler/child car safety seats.
